Project
Vern is my ideal video game, inspired by every game that I loved growing up, mainly MapleStory and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It's something I've been working on for years.
I won't provide a download for the unfinished game; I intend to publish it.

Vision
Vern will be an open world action-adventure platformer with many ways to play. The core of the game is growth and exploration. "Vern" are absorbable magic orbs that grant permanent power-ups of Attack, Defense, Energy, Health, Speed, or Jump. They are random, so you must be resourceful and win with what you find!

First, you'll have to create your hero with the character customizer.

In combat the player and enemies follow the same rules; 0 health means that you die, attack points raise damage, and defense points mitigate damage. The only difference is that enemies deal bump damage, and the player can change weapons. I plan on adding more weapons with different effects, like fireballs and ninja stars.
